The Perlage cap screws to the clear shell of the enclosure. The cap houses the one-way valve that creates the air-tight seal with the bottle, and the filling disk that mates to the tip of the pressurizer during filling.

The first photo in the photo gallery is the latest version of the cap, Perlage Cap v3, released in 2011. The second photo is the original Perlage Cap v1, first released in 2008. The embossed printing on the top of the cap is an easy way to tell version 1 from version 3.
